I suspect not as likely as anything that was in the process of being appended to on a not-fully-journalling filesystem when a dirty shutdown happens. (-:

Or anything that "rotates" output files by truncating them and pulls the rug out from underneath an old-style simplistic indefinitely-running text output writer.
