The message (from pulseaudio, I think) is valid. su has been used to
gain root so $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR is inherited from the user's shell.
XDG_RUNTIME_DIR should be specific for each user, not shared.
export XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=""
can be run before mplayer to not see it.
