He was kind enough to reveal his secrets: about 465 upgraded
packages (on Jessie)
Fortunately, what an upgrade broke, an other upgrade has fixed:
I upgraded from Jessie to Stretch (which took a rather long time)
and after that all the scanners are seen again.
