You need to mail from the subscribed address to

  debian-user-request@lists.debian.org

with the exact subject text:

  unsubscribe


Your mail to the list lacks the usual indication of a subscribed
mail address. So it might be that you receive forwarded mail from
another mail address that is subscribed.

If a first unsubscribe request does not work, you might need to send the
next request from that mail address.
Or try sending the request to
  debian-user-digest-request@lists.debian.org
