First of all, thanks to everyone for your PM'ed messages and prayers. We
are alive and well. Though the eye hit our town quite close to us, we
were on the lee side. Power has also been restored, though some of the
roads remain flooded (anyone for trout fishing? :)

When I got up it was a CAT 4 and was forecast to become a CAT 5 and then
make landfall.

The news was obsessed with Irma, Jose was behind it and the cone of
uncertainty was wide enough, so I decided it was safer to assume it would
hit FL.
