8.7 now; from 'cat /etc/bedian_version'. Definitely. :) I even rebooted.

Scanned using all the extension types. Success each time.
Is it possible for you to work out whether the partial image is due to
partial scanning? Perhaps the scanner's behaviour (noises?) is different
from a full scan of a selected portion.
