Lisa, you know I love you and yours dearly from afar. That said I have been there done that. Backup all personal files, ~not~ home/system/.config/etc stuff. Then pop the install DVD in and install clean. Reboot and sin no more. We're both long in the tooth and don't need the stress. :) Ric

p/s if you don't want to go through the "version upgrade" process ever again, install sid. I love it.
