That, in case you haven't noticed, is in fact nano.
I've been so foolish as to reboot but synaptic is currently reinstalling
239 packages aptitude ripped out. Apparently it thought if it wasn't
running at the instant, it could be deleted. What a POS that is.
And I had to apt-get install synaptic, just one of the 600+ packages it
cleaned out of the system. It also claimed 65 broken packages but would
not show them to me. I am not a happy camper at this point, but at least
I can still receive and send email.
And I just installed 6 more. But it will be weeks before I find
everything it nuked.
Where is jigdo-lite for instance, I use it occasionally.
What a headache this U^%#&*&^ aptitude has been. And I am still scared to
reboot as I saw it build a new initramfs module for the running kernel,
NDI why it felt it had to do that as I didn't install anything related
to the kernel, it was still all there. Spooky, even at a distance.
