NO. It's frequently worth much more. Even, or perhaps especially, when it doesn't seem relevant.


Bad advice is part of the price.

But it can be valuable. Answering "Why was that advice bad?" can be very instructive.

And sometimes a circular approach can be more productive than a frontal assault.



Which is another of the costs of free advice.

There are other costs, including such things as enduring stupid
questions, flame wars, and social engineering attempts.

(Not to Cindy-Sue as much as to the entire list.)
