You can set the media.autoplay.enabled preference to false, though that
won't stop all HTML5 video from playing, apparently. A bug was filed
concerning this issue https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=659285, 
but it has yet to be completely resolved (it seems).
