I cut and pasted the above definition into ~/.bashrc and then restarted
the machine to ensure that .bashrc was being read.  But the only response
I get is:

$ enscript howto.enscript
AFM: scanning path...
AFM: reading font map "/usr/share/enscript/afm/font.map"
processing file ""...

What did I do wrong?
