Re: grub and encrypted partition problem

Sorry, here is the fstab again:

This is the form, which I can boot:

------ snip ---------

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# Use 'blkid' to print the universally unique identifier for a
# device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name devices
# that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5).
#
# <file system> <mount point>   <type>  <options>       <dump>  <pass>
proc            /proc           proc            defaults        0       0
tmpfs           /tmp            tmpfs   defaults
UUID=ad01422d-da21-4b7f-ad9e-ce6c459ca494 /               ext4    defaults       0       1
# /boot was on /dev/sda3 during installation
UUID=e9e22e72-ee88-4ca6-befd-c904a2c5aa18 /boot           ext4    defaults        0       2
# /home was on /dev/sda7 during installation
UUID=ce1b4284-ad38-4243-96a1-6ce48d4424a5 /home           ext4    defaults        0       2
# /usr was on /dev/sda8 during installation
UUID=25c448a6-9609-498f-bd47-26c0f9639b3a /usr            ext4    defaults        0       2
# /var was on /dev/sda9 during installation
UUID=a76076f2-6188-4252-992c-e322aa66de38 /var            ext4    defaults        0       2
# swap was on /dev/sda5 during installation
UUID=3cd5e073-5040-4479-94f7-1365414da996 none            swap    sw              0       0

And this is the version, that should work.

------ snip -------------

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# Use 'blkid' to print the universally unique identifier for a
# device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name devices
# that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5).
#
# <file system> <mount point>   <type>  <options>       <dump>  <pass>
proc            /proc           proc            defaults        0       0
tmpfs           /tmp            tmpfs           discard,noatime,mode=177
UUID=ad01422d-da21-4b7f-ad9e-ce6c459ca494 /               ext4    discard,noatime,errors=remount-ro      0       1
# /boot was on /dev/sda3 during installation
UUID=e9e22e72-ee88-4ca6-befd-c904a2c5aa18 /boot           ext4    defaults        0       2
# /home was on /dev/sda7 during installation
/dev/mapper/home /home           ext4    discard,noatime,errors=remount-ro        0       2
# /usr was on /dev/sda8 during installation
/dev/mapper/usr /usr            ext4    discard,noatime,errors=remount-ro        0       2
# /var was on /dev/sda9 during installation
/dev/mapper/var /var            ext4    discard,noatime,errors=remount-ro        0       2
# swap was on /dev/sda5 during installation
UUID=3cd5e073-5040-4479-94f7-1365414da996 none            swap    sw              0       0

---------- snap --------

Additionally I am sending my /etc/crypttab

------- snip ----------

# <target name> <source device>         <key file>      <options>
# home /dev/sda7 none luks,retry=1,cipher=aes-lrw-benbi:sha256
# usr /dev/sda8 none luks,retry=1,cipher=aes-lrw-benbi:sha256
# var /dev/sda9 none luks,retry=1,cipher=aes-lrw-benbi:sha256

home UUID=ce1b4284-ad38-4243-96a1-6ce48d4424a5 none luks,retry=1,cipher=aes-lrw-benbi:sha256
usr UUID=25c448a6-9609-498f-bd47-26c0f9639b3a none luks,retry=1,cipher=aes-lrw-benbi:sha256
var UUID=a76076f2-6188-4252-992c-e322aa66de38 none luks,retry=1,cipher=aes-lrw-benbi:sha256

-------- snap ------

Thank you for having a look at it.

Best
