Actually, testing is already stretch.

You can test that by putting a stretch stanza into your sources.list.
You will find that it works, and that it pulls down the same list of
available packages as you would get from testing.

AFAIK, that equivalency in sources.list and on the repository servers is
exactly the thing which defines what release (stable, testing, unstable)
a codename refers to.
