I guess Steve and I are just used to install lightweight DEs and/or WMs.
Perhaps the KDE finder is similar, not less good and not better, perhaps
even not really different regarding to the work-flow. Some WMs don't
provide a menu by default and editing a menu for a WM could be much
work, so including an appfinder you know, is much more pleasant,
especially if another WM or DE already is installed and providing one.
ASAP I'll take a look at the KDE appfinder, since KDE4 is installed for
my Debian install. My Arch has got Xfce4 and the GNOME2 forks installed,
so it was the easiest for me to use the Xfce appfinder for my Arch's
JWM. Btw. Debian does provide a Debian menu that easly can be included
to the JWM menu and I did it for my Debisan's JWM, but the default
Debian menu doesn't fit that good to my work-flow.
