It would be better to have Ian being dictator alone than have him fighting against
a bunch of randoms parachuted in from for profit companies.

Better still would be for direct democracy to return to Debian.

Debian used to be sane, slow to change, and stable.
It didn't chase the fucking wind.

You could still have "old" versions of "apps" installable,
because people knew that a group of programs that have been
rewritten ONLY share the name of the old group of programs:
they are NOT the same program.
