Many musicians are member of collecting societies. The celebrity
musicians benefit from the mafia-like approach of those collecting
societies. The unknown musicians even lose the right, to allow other
people to play their music for free, to become more popular, while they
get less money from the collecting societies, than their membership fees
are.
