The misfeature in question is:
a) Already fixed in GTK+ 3.12.1.
b) Does not bother anyone in GNOME actually (problem surfaced running
GTK+3 in xfce).
That would be the reason to avoid GTK+3 applications, but GNOME -
hardly.
