For me, it is part of my 'standard' desktop install. Two reasons -
one, my learning process is information that google or some dictionary
server might like to know about and privacy is something that is
lived, a preference I have - two, I have gotten used to instantaneous
dictionary lookups, it's hard to accept anything less these days :)
