Not able to use netbeans on debian 7.1 wheezy

Hello list, 

I installed netbeans from dvd image of debian 7.1 (amd64) and also
downloaded netbeans from their site and installed it. But whenever I
click on new project, the dialogue opens but there is nothing to select.
