I still just use bzr and only check in the files that *I* change.
This way I can branch it somewhere else and apply my changes again *without*
affecting unrelated files that may have been upgraded by package updates.
So while I understand the appeal to have everything logged, I just put in the
repo what I change. I am not very much interested in any automatic changes
during upgrades, unless they affect my customization.
Of course you can do the same with git, I just use bzr due to its IMHO more
friendly user interfaces. I use git for development tough, since more common.
