Debian on Intel Next Unit of Computing

Does Debian run on the Intel Next Unit of Computing platform?

I don't see any traditional HDD ports, but I do see "Full-size mini PCI 
Express* with mSATA support".  I assume I will need an mSATA SDD, such 
as the Intel 525 Series?
