Are there any error messages in dmesg, /var/log/syslog during bootup (put them in a pastebin and send the link to the mailing list, if you're not sure)? When you unplug/replug a device, the kernel should emit a series of messages identifying the device. You should also be able to find those messages shortly after boot as the kernel enumerates the bus. > Thanks > Sharon. > -- > A taste of linux = [1]http://www.sharons.org.uk/index.html > efever = [2]http://www.efever.blogspot.com/ > efever = [3]http://sharon04.livejournal.com/ > Debian Wheezy, Fluxbox 1.3.5, LibreOffice 4.0.3.3, > Registered Linux user 334501 > > References > > Visible links > 1. http://www.sharons.org.uk/index.html > 2. http://www.efever.blogspot.com/ > 3. http://sharon04.livejournal.com/
