I see this behaviour in Lynx as well. elinks, however, does it as
expected. As for Lynx, if you have to use it, one workaround is to
browse to the MD5SUMS, and then use the "P" button to print it, which
allows you to save it to a file.

I have no clue about the IPV6 issue, though.
