Still readers might want to know that they can use numbers instead of
names. At least some information about the possibility needs to be
there to make the note understandable.

Alsa sucks. It's ridiculously difficult and more or less impossible to
configure and to figure out why things don't work.
If the invisible card doesn't show up anymore, I'll have to get another
one if I have another free slot. Before I do that, I better wait and
see if the card which is still working keeps working ...
