names for sound devices
According to http://wiki.debian.org/ALSA .
peter@dalton:~$ cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [SI7012 ]: ICH - SiS SI7012
SiS SI7012 with ALC655 at irq 18
1 [default ]: USB-Audio - C-Media USB Audio Device
C-Media USB Audio Device at usb-0000:00:0a.0-3, full sp
eed
2 [default_1 ]: USB-Audio - C-Media USB Headphone Set
C-Media USB Headphone Set at usb-0000:00:03.2-1, full sp
eed
My best guess is that the names SI7012, default and default_1
are assigned by udev; but how? Nothing evident in /etc/alsa/rules.d
nor in /lib/udev/rules.d . Are there rules elsewhere?
Thanks, ... Peter E.
