I don't know DeltaCopy - but fsarchiver will tar up your Windows files
nice and quick to a SAMBA share. It's the method I use when converting
physical to virtualbox machine conversions (P2V).

rsync is also good - especially for incremental backups which fsarchiver
won't do. (as is rsnapshot).

fsarchiver is also in Debian repos.
