Your USB 2.0 host controller is detected and the kernel kindly prints out
that "encouraing" message (seems like kernel developers want their users to
suffer trying to understand what that "quirk", "fix" and "dummy" exactly
means here >:-) ).

Are you attaching a USB 1.x device on a 2.0 high-speed port, right?
Have you tried with another kind of USB device (e.g., a USB key) instead?
Is there any change or are you still getting the same errors?
