.._which_ "ATI Radeon RV250"??? On the radeon driver? KMS? Firmware?

..should cope ok, I've ran my first RV280 at2048x1536x24bit@48.9Hz
on an AMD K6-2 450Hz, desktop (kde-3.x) ran fine, but it _couldn't_
run FlightGear. Same card on a 3.2G P4 was _much_ more fun. ;o)

..here you mean the consoles /dev/tty1 thru /dev/tty6?
What resolution, refresh etc do you run these at?

.._only_ blurry text, or _both_ blurry text and xterm etc window
frame etc graphics?

..in the former case, read the other guys advice on font configuration.

..in the latter case, you may have a wee bit of power resonance in
your monitor, try play with xrandr and refresh rates, if you have
60Hz power, try 50 or 75 etc Hz refresh rates and wice versa.
