The right process for me was:

Install ntfs-3g

Add fuse module to /etc/modules file

Add user/s to fuse group

Install kernel from squeeze backports...and all is ok, is a problem of squeeze kernel with my moterboard:(

If you have ntfs-3g and fuse, nothing, it should be automatically handled
by your DE (gnome).

I'd take a look at "dmesg" when you connect the disk, it could be a
permission problem.
