Re: best lenovo laptop for debian(i need opinion)
Hi Hamed,
I've been using a Lenovo Thinkpad T500 for almost two years now. During that
time it has never let me down. Even though it has been put to work under
relatively hard conditions for a laptop. As far as build quality goes, it
isn't the old Thinkpad anymore, but it is still a lot better than all the
other brands I or my personnel have used in the past. I always have had Debian
on it and all components work beautifully with it. Even wifi does all I need
and that is more than most people, because of my line of work
(networkanalysis, sniffing, pentesting etc.). The built-in fingerprint reader
isn't supported at the moment, as far as I know. I don't use it anyway, so
that doesn't bother me. About the only thing I have trouble with is the
DisplayPort, which I still haven't managed to get working. Suggestions on that
part would be welcome!
So, all in all after two years I am still a very happy customer. If things
haven't changed dramatically I can wholeheartedly recommend a Lenovo Thinkpad.
I don't know about the other series from Lenovo though.
Grx HdV
