Yes, they share basically the same source.

Konqueror always had a poor support for non-standard compliant programmed 
websites, and this can be such case. It's not konqueror's but web 
designers fault who think they can make whatever they want >:-)

There you have it: blame the browser :-)

You can also try Google Chrome, it is also known to be fast.
