Very interesting. I've been suffering some previous overheating
problems with (I think) the CPU which causes the entire system to shut
down. It is very hot on summer days here in Jamaica, and when the a.c.
is switched off it seems that the CPU will sometimes overheat. It now
looks as though the graphics card too is vulnerable.

Yes closed source Nvidia driver. The only reason I went back to it was
that I was trying to get tv-out and was struggling with the Nouveau
driver procedure. I'll now go back to the Nouveau driver and persevere
with the tv-out settings. The tv-out with the Nvidia driver has not
been wildly successful anyway.

Version is 280.13 really 275.28-1.
