I've used this method: http://raphaelhertzog.com/2011/04/18/status-update-of-gnome-3-in-debian-experimental/ which is basically the same but using sid instead of testing, and it worked for me.

Currently gome3 is making the transition to sid (http://release.debian.org/transitions/), I think if you are a bit patience you'll be gnoming3 in no time.
