Not a problem per se, but personally, I would use LVM. If you don't have
2TB of data yet, you probably don't know how you are going to use it.

Your drive may use 4k blocks. Before creating a filesystem on it, make
sure it will be aligned to the internal device structure. Otherwise, you
may notice a performance penalty.
