Actually i have it on ~/.mozilla/plugins . I know that it should be into firefox's user's profile or /var/lib/whatever , but it seats there, as a "legacy" of older firefoxes and works fine . Well, running iceweasel 5 here, and I've put the plugin in all those places, plus a few more, and it doesn't seem to be recognised.
I'd rather have it in a global place, so that it's available for other users.
I have no strong objection to running genuine firefox, but on starting it, it returns
/usr/local/firefox/firefox-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Of course I know it's there, in /lib, so why doesn't firefox? <sigh> this is turning into an uphill struggle. -- Tony van der Hoff | mailto:tony@vanderhoff.org Buckinghamshire, England |
