Make a backup of all partitions on the device and repartition.  You
better make a backup anyway, so there's not much point in trying to join
two file systems.  You can delete sda6 and sda7 and create a
new partition, so you don't need to redo the other partitions on the
device.

If you don't want to repartition, you could create a RAID-0 from the
partitions or use LVM to a similar effect.  You might get away without
making backups of the *other* partitions then.  Needless to say, it's
always a good idea to have working, recent backups around ...
