hah, forgot about that part....

oh, so here's the thing; i've got half a dozen screen windows going
and i don't really feel like logging out. newgrp wants a password and
it doesn't like user swilson's password. and re-spawning a shell
without exporting anything doesn't change what groups i'm associated
with:

swilson@swilson-mbp-vdebian:~$ sh
sh-4.1$ groups
swilson dialout cdrom floppy audio video plugdev
sh-4.1$ exit

any suggestions, or what am i doing wrong with newgrp?
