Re: Missing device nodes



My /proc/partitions (edited to keep only the relevant parts):

   8       48  976762584 sdd
   8       80  976762584 sdf
   8       81  976760001 sdf1
   8       96  976762584 sdg
   8       64  976762584 sde

My /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf looks like this:
DEVICE partitions
ARRAY /dev/md0 UUID=<UUID of array>

Sure: it scans all the devices listed with DEVICE in mdadm.conf, or
in /proc/partitions if there are no DEVICEs listed.
