Re: is this hard disk failure?



Couple of possibilites:
- Hard disk is failing
- Insufficient power available for your hard disk, causing it to spin up then spin down again
- Controller error
- Faulty connection or SATA port 

The more likely possibilities are 1 and 3.

If you can get another hard disk to test, that will narrow down the possibilities.

What do these messages mean? What is the solution to prevent these messages from appearing? Help!
