if you want corporate support, i'd go with centos / rhel
i like (k)ubuntu for a desktop environment
if you need to do serious work with the network stack, i'd go with a bsd based system (freebsd, openbsd, mscos)
what's the point of the question? ie, what are you trying to figure out?
