Debian "stable" == "unchanging"
Debian "unstable" == "changing"
Debian "stable" != "few or no bugs"
Debian "unstable" != "full of bugs"

If you take uses of the English work "stable" that do not talk about software, 
I think you'll find that Debian "stable" matches it closer that Microsoft's 
"stable" or Mozilla's "stable".
