You cannot go wrong with an Intel NIC, regardless of OS:

It's one of few cards you'll never have to worry about compatibility
headaches, especially in Linux. They just work, and they work well. Unlike
the Realteks and Marvells of the world, you can actually get close to GigE
wire speed with an Intel Pro 1000 card.
