Re: unable to install mysql server

Hi Vishnu,

try
apt-cache search mysql-server (list mysql server)

apt-get install mysql-server  (install mysql server)

it will install mysql-server with all the required dependencies.

This is what I have done :

i have installed the mysql server and client.

Then I have issued the following commands :
# aptitude remove --purge mysql-server mysql-client
# updatedb
# rm -r /etc/mysql/

After a couple of days, I have tried to install the packages again.
It has shown an error as i have mentioned in my first e-mail.
