I didn't realize you were using passwords. But I was thinking of it
primarily as a diagnostic test to see if the "mount" of the filesystem
by grub was responsible for the changes to the /boot partition. Obviously
your security requirements are higher than mine. I never use BIOS passwords
or bootloader passwords.
