offtopic: /lib/libc.so.6



Hello List,

after upgrading to Squeeze, I looked for a way to get the glibc version on different systems:
it appears that entering the command `/lib/libc.so.6' give the answer.
On my Squeeze box:

/lib/libc.so.6

gives

GNU C Library (EGLIBC) stable release version 2.10.2, by Roland McGrath et al.

It is good to know. Nevertheless I am curious to know how we can make a libXXX.so file prints something.
Does anyone have any hint ?
