The Intel driver is badly broken at the moment - it works with the
latest kernel only.
uname -a Linux squeeze 2.6.30-2-686 #1 SMP Sat Sep 26 01:16:22 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
I had to update to it to stop total lockups.
