Maybe you will be luckier if you explain a bit of the "why" instead of only 
the "what".

It seems to defeat its very purpouse.  Except for testing I don't see what for 
(and I doubt even this, since it's a routing device, I'd try to test on "real 
iron" to avoid problems).
