My older ThinkPad T40p works well with Lenny. The media keys work, as does
the screen brightness controls, etc. USB works, as does the wired Ethernet.
I haven't tried the modem, and it doesn't have a fingerprint scanner. ATI
video and sound work. Suspend to RAM and Hibernate work fine.

I swapped the Wi-Fi card for an Intel model, the existing Atheros-based one
wasn't working. I don't know if the card was bad, or just not well
supported, since I got the laptop used. But the new card works just fine.

Hope this helps!
