Re: apt can't verify package

Long Wind schreef:
I use etch
In sources.list, I have a line like:

deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian etch main

When I install packages with apt-intall, it warns:

Install these packages without verification[y/N]?

how to solve it? Thanks!
It's because you don't have the proper gpg-key for checking validity. Read more on http://wiki.debian.org/SecureApt
Do a
aptitude install debian-archive-keyring (yes to 'Install w/o verification')
 aptitude update

Then all packages downloaded after this date are checked against this key for validity.
