Re: Can't boot after installation (debian5 on macmini)

hi
I've just installed debian 5 for the second time on a macmini. It
still doesn't boot, but only shows a blinking folder with an
exclamation mark.

Its a simple debian-only installation, no dualboot. 2 partitions: for
root and swap. GRUB was installed.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a rotten apple to me.

Sorry Ben, I couldn't help myself, as a matter of fact I have been running Debian on my iMAC for years, been upgrading the original install and long ago forgotten how I installed it, I do remember I had some trouble with the x-configuration but that was all the rest just worked. :)

With Lenny you should be able to repair the boot as an option on the install cd, anyways good luck.
